Hi, I’m Cherry.

I’m an accountant, registered tax agent, and SMSF auditor based in St Marys, Western Sydney. I run Your Web Accountant (trading as Big Boss Accountants).

Somewhere along the way, I got tired of repetitive software not built for people like me — so I built my own.

BackPocket OS is an AI-powered operating system for small accounting practices. It handles email triage, client follow-ups, social media, tax workflows, and document management. It runs on a Mini PC in my office. No cloud dependency. No monthly SaaS stack.

This blog has three sides:

⚙️ Building BackPocket — The raw, honest story of building a software product while running a full-time accounting practice. What worked, what broke, what I learned.

🌸 Personal — The human side. Moving from Manila to Sydney at 21. Building a life in Western Sydney. Being a mum of two, a Filipino-Australian, and an accidental software engineer.

I share all of this because I believe small businesses deserve better tools — and accountants deserve systems that actually work for them.
